Congregations who have registered for “Forty Days of Getting Ready” Project received their link and password on Wednesday.
Writers from across the conference worked together to produce this resource. Young families can expect to find information about the season of Lent and a host of other resources for getting ready to celebrate the Mystery of Easter.
The “Forty Actions for Getting Ready” are meant to be shared during meals or at bed-time. Day by day families will discover ways to deepen or celebrate their relationship with earth, friends, neighbours, self, family, and animals.
There are special resources for families to use during Holy Week, including an article on talking with children about Good Friday.
Congregations will also find a page or two of ideas for planning special family ministry gatherings in Lent.
When you register you will receive a link and a password to the Family Ministry Lent web page. This link may be shared with any number of young families in the congregation. Indeed, “older families” may also enjoy participating in the Forty Actions. It may also support the work of Sunday schools during Lent.
It’s not too late to register. Register here. The cost is $25 and your congregations can share the link and password with as many families in your congregation as you like.
