Looks like the baby boom of the 1950s and 1960s was alive and well in Amherst, Nova Scotia! This is a photograph from Trinity-St. Stephen’s United Church. Although there was no label on the back, perhaps these babies were being baptized on that particular day.

When I was serving the Immanuel-Brookdale-Leicester Pastoral Charge in Amherst between 1981 and 1986, I came across in the Baptism Register some 50 plus baptisms that were done on one particular Sunday on that charge in the 1950s, if I remember correctly. It was a huge number. That picture even though it is of Trinity-St. Stephen reminded me of those entries.
