REFLECTIONS … is a weekly one minute video blog featuring the people and places of Maritime Conference.
By Janice MacLean, Conference Minister for Christian Nurture & EnrichmentAs we move toward the Second Sunday in Advent and get ready to kindle the candle of Peace, I share a snippet of an address the Rev. Steve Berube offered the Maritime Conference Executive at a recent meeting. Steve served with the Ecumenical Accompaniment Program in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI) of the World Council of Churches. He lived three months in Bethlehem.
A longer version of his address will be available soon. For now, this introduction will serve as a way of drawing your attention to the Worship Resources available for the Sunday of Peace on The United Church of Canada web site. See Advent Service for Peace in Palestine and Israel.
You can read Steve’s blog of his time in Bethlehem. It Seems Complicated.

Thank you, Steve. For your service. For your stories. For prayers and actions kindled in us as we light the Candle of Peace.
At St. David’s in Georgetown, PEI, will be addressing this topic this Sunday. Our guests wii be Jim and a Myna Wicks. Peace Shalom
