I was rather intrigued by the following document as I have not come across too many church records that reference dance unless of course you count the pre-1925 newspaper articles that bemoan the evils of dance. I found this in a session minute book from River John-West Branch Pastoral Charge in Pictou Presbytery. What do you think, would the rules for church dances look any different today than they did in 1972? And which lucky parents out there have had the privilege of chaperoning a dance?
Dance, and enjoy yourself!

Bathrooms off limits!! That may have been OK for me in 1972 but body parts and medecines change !!!!! Hope they don’t have seniors dances !!!! However in my church the bathroom was off limits in the winter and I had to walk an SS pupil door to door and I don’t recall finding a bathroom. About 1974. That family never returned to church !!!!
