What good is a recipe if you don’t have the ingredients to make the dish? This month we are going to focus on our grocery list. The following grocery store advertisement was found in The Campbellton Graphic. Don’t get too excited about the spiced beef for 43 cents though, this ad was from August 4, 1949. Just so the other grocery chains don’t get upset about an unfair advantage by a competitor, the store shall remain anonymous.

Anyone remember Quaker Muffetts? Or Wheat Sparkies? I’m also intrigued by the grapelade jam. For 25 cents a pop, I won’t be too upset if I don’t like it!
