2. Ministries in French Course – postponed

The Ministries in French course scheduled for May 16-20, 2016 has been postponed. Despite good interest in the course there was insufficient registration to make the course viable. Consultation is underway to determine a more appropriate time to re-offer the course and we look forward to the program proceeding at another time. If you are interested in practicing and improving your skills in French, please contact David Hewitt, Executive Secretary, dhewitt@marconf.ca.

6. Archives Notice

The Archives will be closed from April 14 until May 11 inclusive.  If you have any requests please email archives@marconf.ca and Sarah will respond to you when she returns from vacation.

7. Conversations that Matter!

At the Annual Meeting of Conference we will once again “open space” for important conversations.  Five years ago we tried this for the first time.  Over 70 topics were posted for engaging during the day.  People shared their ideas and passions  in conversations such as:

  • Ecumenism
  • Better Rural Public Transportation
  • Welcoming Youth and Young Families
  • Out of Our Bulidings Into the Community
  • Progressive Christianity – A Maritime Network
  • Giving Youth a Voice
  • Are We Forgetting the Basics: prayer and forgiveness?

… and so many more!

Many of these conversations led to bold actions – such as Maritime Conference becoming an Affirming Ministry!

You will find your Invitation to Open Space and more information about Open Space Technology on the Conference website with the materials for this year’s Annual Meeting.  What conversation is burning in your heart?

8. Archives Notice

The Archives will be closed from April 14 until May 11 inclusive.  If you have any requests please email archives@marconf.ca and Sarah will respond to you when she returns from vacation.
