1. Workshops and Display Tables

There will likely be two workshop sessions during the Friday afternoon period of the upcoming Conference Annual Meeting. If you would like to offer a workshop, please complete the application form: https://ucceast.ca/ac2018-93rd-annual-meeting/workshop-space-request/.

2. Video Licensing
The Maritime Conference video license agreement will be coming up for renewal at the end of March. We have become aware that EDGE has begun to offer video licensing for other parts of the country, and we are investigating to see if they can also offer it for Maritime Conference. We are in the process of working out those details and should be able to provide the information regarding obtaining a license by the middle of March. Please watch the weekly email for more details.

United Church friends, take up this chance to connect with nature, join with others who share your passion, or simply rejuvenate and refresh. The Environment Network of the Anglican Diocese of NS and PEI is hosting a spiritual weekend of reflection in nature and fellowship at Tatamagouche Centre. There will be time for nature walks, canoeing, quiet reflection, a water ceremony and prayer, worship and more. Come enjoy the beautiful trails, labyrinth, gardens, and the views of scenic Tatamagouche Bay and French River.
Registration fee $50. This includes 2 nights accommodation double occupancy (option for single room for a fee), all meals, breaks, activities. This event is sponsored by the Diocese Environmental Network and the Environmental Working Group of Maritime Conference. Donations towards expenses will be welcomed.

5. Host “Children’s Adventure Camp” with the GO Project in your community this summer!
Those who have hosted the GO Project’s “Children’s Adventure Camp” are asking for it again. There are still a couple of spaces for congregations wanting to apply to host of this great alternative to Vacation Bible School this summer. The program and the staff come to you! Once again 2018 Christian Life and Growth Committee of Maritime Conference is offering financial assistance up to $500 for congregations hosting “Children’s Adventure Camp” . A maximum of 6 sites will be approved for funding in 2018. Please complete the following online submission.
6. Pastoral Charge Annual Reports
It’s that time again…. to send in your annual reports to conference office. We prefer an electronic copy sent to us but will happily accept printed copies. You can email your report to Marlene at email@example.com.
Please note that you will also need to send a copy of your annual report to General Council Office along with your Statistics forms to the attention of Wayne Yohan or Susan Jackson.

8. Attention Church Secretaries/Administrators!
Maritime Church Administrators Association’s annual conference will take place the weekend of April 27, 28, and 29, 2018.
Our mission statement: To provide experiences and to develop support systems for Church Administrators that will enable them to share ideas, concerns and resources, thus helping them to exercise their ministry more effectively.
New members welcome.
30th Anniversary Celebrations – this year marks our 30th year in existence… we encourage past and present administrators to join us for a fun afternoon on the 28th at Tatamagouche Centre. Special guests: local author Sheree Fitch and special guest musicians Rev. Valerie Kingsbury and Chris Bowman.

9. Wanted – Voices United Hymn Books
Wesley Methodist Church in Bermuda is looking for about 15 free copies of Voices United. Should you know of any church that has excess, kindly contact the Maritime Conference.
Any contributions would be appreciated and could be taken to the upcoming executive meeting or the Conference Annual Meeting in May for transport back to Bermuda. Representatives from Bermuda will be in attendance at the Annual Meeting in May and would carry them back from there. Any help would be gratefully received by our friends in Bermuda.
10. Camp Wegesegum – Job Opportunities
CAMP WEGESEGUM, New Brunswick has three (3) Summer Positions available.
We are prepared to hire two (2) Life Guards and a Camp Manager. Job descriptions attached. One certified Life Guard will be offered $18.00/hour. SEED vouchers preferred.
