Letters have been sent to key government leaders in the area urging them to proceed cautiously before opening doors to “fracking” (hydraulic-fracturing) and onshore shale gas explorations once again. The Environmental Working Group has crafted a letter in June 2018 on behalf of the Church in Action committee, citing the 2012 position taken by Maritime Conference.
