1. Condolences

Raymond Joseph Gallant

Sympathy is extended to Sheila Gallant, President of Maritime Conference, on the death of her husband, Raymond Joseph Gallant, 68, of Grand Tracadie, PEI, on October 23, 2018. The funeral was held on October 27. The full obituary can be found at:


John “Jack” Gregan

Our condolences are extended to Wendell Gregan on the death of his brother John “Jack” Gregan, 78, who passed away on October 28, 2018. Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi on Thursday, November 1 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.  Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 2 from St. Stephen’s United Church, Black River Bridge at 2pm. 2. Job Opening – Administrative Support/Office Manager Assistant (Regions 14 & 15)

Position Title: Administrative Support/Office Manager Assistant for Regions 14 & 15 (21 hours a week)

3. The Promise Bursary

The Promise Bursary, which is administered by the Pine Hill Bursary Committee, is awarded to a person whose congregation has recognized in her or him significant promise for leadership within The United Church of Canada in the future. The Promise Bursary is a cash bursary of $100, with no strings attached. The recipient also receives a letter of congratulation.

A nominee for the Promise Bursary must be well-known to and in good standing with her or his community of faith. The nominee must be 16 years of age or older. The nominee cannot be a current student at a theological school.
