Living in the midst of a pandemic means that many church activities, including the beloved church dinners, have had to be put on pause or dramatically altered. It’s no substitute but in honour of those church dinners, here’s a photograph from a congregational supper at Jubilee Methodist Church in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The photo wasn’t dated but it was most likely taken sometime during World War I. Jubliee Methodist Church united with Falmouth Presbyterian Church to become First United Church in 1925.
