BNS Pastoral Care Training Program

This 9-week Basic Course from the Ottawa Pastoral Care Training Program is perfect for church members who would like to gain skills for visiting on behalf of their church or as a refresher for existing lay pastoral care teams and ministry personnel. Topics will include active listening, grief & loss, spiritual needs, visiting in hospitals/institutions, and caring for the caregiver. Classes will be held via Zoom on Tuesdays from 1-3pm ADT, September 20 to November 15. Bermuda-Nova Scotia’s Faith Formation & Leadership Development Committee is pleased to be able to offer this special 25-person class exclusively for members of our region and at a discounted rate.

Cost: Until June 30 receive an early bird rate of $75. Following June 30 the rate is $100.

Payment options:
1) E-transfer to Jenn Whittemore at jwhittemore@united-church.ca. Once you have sent the e-transfer email Jenn to know the name(s) of the registrants and confirm the password you used.
2) Mail a cheque to the Regional office payable to “Bermuda-Nova Scotia Regional Council” and in the memo line note the name(s) of the registrants. Mail to Bermuda-Nova Scotia Regional Council, 21 Wright Street, Sackville, NB E4L 4P8.
