Condolences – Rev. Bonnie Fraser

Our condolences are extended to the family of Rev. Bonnie Fraser who passed away this weekend. A funeral service is planned for Thursday, October 6th at 2pm at St. James United Church in Antigonish. An obituary will be posted once it is available.

Notes from the Pastoral Relations Committee

-Approved Guidelines and Procedures for Licensed Lay Worship Leaders.

-Approved the call of Rev. Eunkyu Ji to St. Andrew’s Pastoral Charge, Miramichi, effective October 3, 2022.

-Accepted the Community of Faith Profile of the Kings United Pastoral Charge, Cardigan, PE.

-Appointed the Rev. Rose Hannah Gaskin as liaison for the search process at Gibson-Forest Hill United Church, Fredericton.

Progress with Guaranteed Liveable Income

The City of Moncton voted unanimously this week in favour of calling on the provincial and federal governments to work to implement a basic income. In Fredericton, the plan is to present a similar motion to City Council on October 6th. A letter has been sent to the Sackville, NB municipal governing body.

Part-time Office Administrator needed for Visions United – Moncton, N.B.

Visions United Church is looking for an Office Administrator who is personable, self-directed, creative with an eye for detail, has strong writing skills, and works cooperatively with staff and volunteers. The position is for 12 hours per week. The office is in a busy community setting (Community Hub on Joyce, Moncton). Duties include receiving the public, responding to inquiries, managing the church office, data entry, receipting offerings, emailing, filing, and creating electronic communications. Microsoft office, Gmail/Webmail, and strong computer skills are essential. Experience using MailChimp and Canva is an asset. Part-time Music Director needed for Visions United – Moncton, NB

Seeking musician whose weekly responsibilities will include music coordination with the minister, one choir rehearsal, and keyboard leadership during Sunday worship: also responsible for occasional special celebrations music. An upright piano and electric piano are provided. Position is for 10 hours per week with salary based on the RCCO table.
