Service for Congregational Use for AGM Sunday

The Annual Meeting Planning Committee is offering a service that congregations can use on June 11th during Annual Meeting weekend while ministry personnel are attending the Region 15 Annual General Meeting.  The service is based on materials that will be used during that weekend.  Click here to view.

Discussion Opportunity – Health Joy and Excellence Summary Report

The three Eastern Regions have been working in consultation to create an institute of learning and support for leaders.

A Summary of Focus and Executive Summary have been prepared and we want to invite our lay members of the Regions, governing body members and members of the congregations along with Ministry Personnel to assist us with the next steps as we continue to hone our focus and discover together opportunities for mutual learning and support: Health Joy & Excellence Summary of Focus and Executive Summary

To this end, we will be hosting the 5th of five opportunities for discussion and reflection.

Tatamagouche Centre Annual General Meeting (AGM) online

On Friday June 2nd we will hold our Annual General Meeting online. We have learned that more people from farther afield can participate, which is what we want! We will still hold our onsite Annual Gathering of Members on Saturday June 3rd at noon. We’ll be doing a Community Planting, with a complimentary luncheon offered for all who attend! Please see our other program offerings to register for this portion.

On Friday, we plan to have some learning, dialogue and connecting. We are beginning a strategic visioning process and look forward to some good dialogue about your dreams for Tatamagouche Centre. We will share updates on our green retrofit and other exciting projects. As always, we will review our financial situation and auditor’s report.

Attendance at the online AGM is free of charge and open to everyone.

We invite you to become a member for $5 annually should you want to vote on important issues. You can do that easily by clicking here. You can also register for our online event there as well!

Rural Routes Through the Holy: 2023 Restoring and Re-storying Community

Registration closes June 5th for this year’s gathering to be held June 15th – 17th at Camp Abby, PEI.

Dr. Marvin Lee Anderson will offer the main presentation. There’ll also be Tasters, brief presentations, on Faithful Footprints, Pop-Up Church and more. During free time you can choose to experience Healing Pathway ministry, participate in a prayer-writing workshop, sample a variety of prayer practices, or try out a new resource for congregational or individual discernment. There’ll be music and worship and good food.

reVITALize Conference

reVITALize is a gathering for ministry leaders and lay people to REFRESH, LEARN, and BE SUPPORTED. Speakers talk about what is revitalizing them at the moment, and time is given for people to gather with friends and colleagues and meet new folks. All denominations and traditions welcome!

Talking Circle

To all members of the United Church, clergy and lay, in Nova Scotia who identify as Indigenous

Murray Pruden, Executive Minister for Indigenous Ministries and Justice, along with a small working group from Nova Scotia, invite you to join us for a talking circle on Thursday, June, 8th from 7-8:30 at Stairs Memorial United in Dartmouth (44 Hester Street). New Staff Position Available – Growth Animator – Atlantic Canada

Dear Members of Regional Council. As part of the General Council strategic plan towards Renewal, Invitation and Growth, Regions East will have a new General Council staff person deployed in our Regions. The position is posted and we encourage you to visit the link to discern if you are feeling a call to this work.

The United Church of Canada is seeking an individual to fill the role of Growth Animator for First Dawn Eastern Edge, Fundy St. Lawrence Dawning Waters and Region 15 Regional Councils in the Organizational Development and Strategy Unit (ODS).

Are you feeling called to work with the members in the three Eastern Regions? Maybe you know of someone who might need a little nudge? This is a permanent full-time position (35 hours/week) shared equally among the three regions. The individual will be required to live in one of the Atlantic provinces.
