We are called to be the church …

We live in God’s world.  We are called to be God’s people.  In life, in death, in life beyond death, we are not alone.  Give thanks to God today.

Pray for the life and work of these Pastoral Charges:

Sydney River, Sydney Presbytery
Trenton, Pictou Presbytery
Cornwallis, Valley Presbytery
Bideford, Prince Edward Island Presbytery
Cumberland, Chignecto Presbytery
Dartmouth: Woodlawn, Halifax Presbytery
St. Peter’s/Grand River/Loch Lomond, Sydney Presbytery
Salem/West New Annan, Truro Presbytery
William Black, Halifax Presbytery

May we, with them, be shown such love, such unfailing encouragement, and such certain a hope, that we may be strengthened in every good deed and word.

Let us pray for United Church Men, for AOTS (As One That Serves) groups, and all men’s groups serving the United Church that they might serve with a vitality of faith, a warmth of love, and a determination of spirit as they promote truth, justice, peace and sharing.

Let us pray for our Global Partners with whom we share resources, build relationships, and work together to address unjust systems.

For Prayerful Reflection: What do you hear the Bible saying to you when you pray the words, “For a whole year they met with the Church and taught a large company of people and in Antioch the disciples were for the first time called Christians.”
