To seek justice and resist evil …

Make tender our hearts where hardened by fear or judgement and work your justice through us.  Let us be silent.

Pray for the life and work of these Pastoral Charges:

Dartmouth: St. James, Halifax Presbytery
Nashwaaksis, Woolastook Presbytery
Bedeque, Prince Edward Island Presbytery
Truro: Brunswick Street-North River, Truro Presbytery
Waterview, Sydney Presbytery
St. Margaret’s Bay, Halifax Presbytery
St. Martin’s, Saint John Presbytery
Pictou, Pictou Presbytery
Lakeville-St. David’s, Chignecto Presbytery

May we, with them, know our work to be a living prayer transforming the earth.

Let us pray for the Sydney Presbytery, its Chairperson, Executive and members.  May the business of the Court, and the work of its committees, be rooted in words that proclaim God’s inclusive love, works that bring forth God’s powerful justice, and worship that rejoices in God’s wondrous presence.

Let us pray for Peace Initiatives that take place in communities around the Conference.  Let us persist in hope-in-action believing that “…hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.” (Romans 5:5).

For Prayerful Reflection: What do you hear Jesus saying to you when you pray the words, “Woe to you who tithe mint and rue and every herb and neglect justice and the love of God.”
