The Advent Jesse Tree: Devotions for Children and Adults to Prepare for the Coming of the Christ Child at Christmas
Author: Dean Meador Lambert
In this book author Dean Lambert has complied fifty devotions for both children and adults that will enable individuals and families to engage in a more meaningful celebration of the Christmas season. The Advent Jesse Tree begins on the first day of December with the creation story and ends on Christmas Day. Each devotion traces the heritage of Jesus through the stories and prophecies of the Old Testament. In addition to these devotions, this book contains illustrations of the Advent season symbols which may be used to create a special “Christmas tree.” Each of the twenty-five days has prayers, a memory verse, questions for children, and hymns or songs to coincide with the symbol for the day.
This book will enable a daily participation that will help each family member to more fully understand the mystery of the Old Testament as it is slowly revealed and explained in the coming of the Christ Child. These devotions will allow families to share the true meaning of Christmas.
