United Church Appeal for the Devastation in Lebanon

The tragic explosion in Beirut on August 4 caused immense destruction, and the death toll continues to rise. You can help those affected by donating to our appeal. Your donations will be matched by the Canadian government until August 24, 2020.

The United Church of Canada has been in contact with our Mission & Service partners in the region about how best to respond to this tragedy. Please continue to pray for the injured and those who have lost their lives, as well as the families, communities, and first responders to the disaster.

Find out more and donate.

Effective Transitional Leadership Workshop

The state of the world is such that very few ministries can declare that they are NOT in transition in some way. Transitional ministry is not only for officially declared Interim Ministries, it occurs in a variety of ways in numerous contexts. The Interim Ministry Network is now offering workshops in Effective Transitional Leadership for anyone, not just those involved with declared Interim Ministries. Please follow the link for more information: https://imnedu.org/imn-etl/

Church in Mission Prayer Rooms

Church in Mission Unit is offering an opportunity to Pray for each other across the Country from East to West.  Given these uncertain and overwhelming times for our congregation and leaders, we invite you to join a facilitated half hour online time of prayer (modeled after the Prayer Room at GC43), to pray for every pastoral charge by name.  Prayer rooms will happen throughout the summer beginning with the East and working our way to the West hosting one prayer session per region once a week.  Nothing is required except your presence.
View the full Prayer Room across the Regions schedule and zoom links here.
