What creative ways can you invite people to express their thoughts, ideas, questions and wonderings? Add it to your table, your activity centre, narthex, tiny library or create your own creative “tiny resource” Perhaps you provide containers of sidewalk chalk for people to share messages. Don’t forget a container for pieces that get broken so fragments can still be used and purposeful. An old coffee mug with a happy image or saying might be repurposed to hold the broken/smaller pieces and easily moved to the ground for easy access. Perhaps pair this with a prompt, question or some sort of invitation of what passersby might express themselves about. Consider a stories and sidewalk chalk time, perhaps sharing Bible stories, children’s stories, poetry or other ideas. Need some variety to create artistic flair, have a collection of writing and colouring tools and paper to encourage different expressions!

This week’s Stewardship Second: Caring for the financial health of your community of faith is not a sprint to be accomplished with one time of worship or one campaign. It is a marathon which is accomplished by developing relationships, expressing gratitude, and teaching generosity as a spiritual practice.
