Bring fresh energy! Start with one powerful habit: ask a question that opens a door. A simple prompt like What are you reading? What are you listening to? What’s inspiring you this week? can ignite curiosity, joy, and deeper connection. If books aren’t their thing, shift to music, podcasts, shows, or whatever they enjoy. Follow their spark and dive into the conversation. Take it further by creating a Question of the Week—a fun, thought provoking prompt that invites everyone to join in. Post it where people will notice and return for the next questions. At a picnic table, a response box, a QR code, social media, newsletters, midweek coffee meetups, among community partners, even during worship. A single question can become a community-wide spark. Discipleship coach Eddie Pipkin amps this up with a powerful challenge: pay attention to what others love, even when it’s outside your usual lane. When someone recommends a book, movie, podcast, or cultural moment that shaped them, make space to explore it. Sometimes it becomes your new obsession; other times it simply helps you understand their world more deeply. Either way, it builds connections and strengthens relationships, this generosity of connection is the heart of stewardship and discipleship. Celebrating each other’s passions, showing genuine interest, and shared curiosity draw us closer to one another and to God.
