Spring is a season of fresh beginnings — a perfect time to refresh, renew, and reimagine how we share resources within our communities of faith. As you begin spring cleaning at home, consider setting aside craft supplies, program materials, or other gently used items that could be repurposed, rehomed, and reused by others.
Why not create a Sharing Table in your community of faith? A simple table or corner space can invite people to bring items they no longer need and discover resources that might support children’s programs, intergenerational activities, outreach projects, or creative ministry ideas. One person’s extras may become another community’s inspiration.
This season is also a good reminder to look around our church buildings with fresh eyes. A spring clean and refresh — decluttering spaces, reorganizing supplies, and renewing common areas — can help create welcoming environments that support belonging and creativity.
Small acts of sharing can strengthen connection, reduce waste, and encourage new possibilities for ministry. Let’s make room for new life by sharing what we already have.
