Maximize the opportunities of connecting with neighbours in back to school and September start-up routines. Explore what makes sense in your context. Host one-time or regular prayer walks/drives for school zone areas (students, families, staff, before and after school care, bus drivers, crossing guards, nutrition providers). Collect back to school supplies and hygiene essentials. Create blessing bags. Create backpack tags. Have blessing of backpacks event. Offer in-school volunteering or tutoring, or after school programs. Offer a homework club. Create initiatives to invite post-secondary students for a meal.
