At the start of the new year we will be producing separate Regional weekly announcements and discontinue the joint announcements. Anyone who wishes to receive the new weekly announcements will need to sign up using the below links. Note that once you fill-out the information using the below link you will receive a confirmation that may go into your junk or spam folder, you will not be signed up until you confirm your subscription using the email you receive. Region 15 Pastoral Relations News – November 2020

  • Approved the Request for Change in Pastoral Relations of Russ Daye with St. Andrew’s United Church, Halifax, effective April 1, 2021.
  • Approved the Living Faith Story and Profile materials for Clyde-Carleton Pastoral Charge, and authorize Search for half-time ministry personnel to begin.
  • Approved the Renewal of Appointment of Heather Fraser with St. Luke’s United Church, Tantallon, 32 hours per week, January 1, 2021 to April 11, 2021.
  • Approved the Living Faith Story and Profile materials for First United Church, Trenton, and authorize Search for full-time ministry personnel to begin. Thanks to Jim Webber-Cook for continuing as Liaison with Trenton.

Blue Christmas Service – United in Learning

Position Summary: The congregation of the Bedeque Pastoral Charge is searching for a dynamic individual to fill a full time ordained/commissioned minister or student position on or about March 1st, 2021. The minister is responsible to the Official Board and would be accountable to the Region for the general conduct of the ministry. Bedeque United Church’s spiritual atmosphere is enjoyable and rewarding with a supportive congregation of strong faith and commitment.

Living The Faith and Terms

Decolonization – An Alphabet (A Call for Submissions) Tatamagouche Centre

We’ve been having conversations about racism, equity,  Black Lives Matter and Mi’kmaq sovereignty.  As a way to lift up these voices, we are inviting BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+ writers, poets, artists, and healers facing any kind of systemic barrier,  to choose a letter of the alphabet. Any one from B-Z and make their own artful creation related to decolonization. It could be Binary, Consent, Decolonization, Equity…….Xenophobia. The challenge is to make it a creation that is based on a conversation with at least one other person on this topic.  So much more is possible and generative through dialogue. Create in a team or collective. Different backgrounds. Different artforms. Use visuals. Use video and audio. Play, debate, work through. Interested?
