The 2027 Mission and Service Grant application is now available here. Deadline for completed application and supporting documentation is Friday, September 18, 2026 and can be forwarded to: jwhittemore@united-church.ca or mailed to the Regional Office.

Pastoral Relations Committee – September 2026
- Approved Reverend Barbara Cairns’ request for a change in pastoral relations effective December 31, 2026.
- Approved the Community of Faith profile and position description for Trinity United Church in Shediac.
- Approved the licensing of Lisa Folkins as a Lay Worship Leader for an initial two (2) year period, and the relicensing of the following for three (3) years: Heather Donnelly, Kimberly Douglass, Layton Peck, Carol Pippy, Leslie Anthony, Trudy Colpitts and Sue King and expressed gratitude to each of these individuals for their ministry of worship leadership.
- Approved Candidate Corina Anderson to be licensed to preside at sacraments within the bounds of the Memorial Pastoral Charge.

Weekly Zoom Drop-in with UCC East Growth and Stewardship Animators Rob and Sharon
This weekly Zoom drop-in gathering has a NEW time beginning on Tuesday September 15 at 11:45am and most Tuesdays after that. Both the Growth and Stewardship Animators – Rob (FSLDW & FDEE) and Sharon (BNS and FDEE) will be present most weeks.
Come and chat about whatever might be on your heart; joys, concerns, ideas, laments, hopes! Eating your lunch onscreen is most welcome.
FSLDW’s Animator, Rob, will still be on the road for the September 15th date. But other than when he’s travelling he’ll be there most weeks. Please email rshearer@united-church.ca for the Zoom Link (or sballantyne@united-church.ca if it’s before September 15).
Road Trip! Anniversary service at Trinity United, Riverview
Sixty years goes by in the blink of an eye. One minute you are turning the sod for a new church and the next you are celebrating 60 years of God’s faithfulness. One minute you are gathering for a baptism, and the next you are remembering a life well lived.
You are invited to celebrate all these faithful moments with Trinity United Church on Old Coach Road, Riverview NB. Previous members, ministers, and those looking to worship and celebrate the faithfulness of God, and the grace of Jesus, are invited to the anniversary service on Sunday, September 20th at 11am. Lunch will be served (of course!)

aUCC Annual Clergy Retreat
On September 27/28, clergy will gather at Pictou Lodge for our annual retreat! It’s a time of education, renewal and connection!
Open to all clergy, including students, serving pastoral charges. You don’t have to be a member and you don’t have to be from Nova Scotia. We’ve had people from Ontario, New Brunswick and PEI join us in the past.
