Pulpit/Sunday Supply is understood to be an occasional need, when the incumbent ministry personnel is on vacation, study leave, or other short-term leave. Pulpit/Sunday Supply may also be required in those instances when a community of faith is between appointment or call. In all such instances the governing body or its designate may invite ministry personnel or others to provide worship leadership on a Sunday-by-Sunday basis.
