FSLDW Pastoral Relations Committee News – June 2022
- Approved the request from Rev. Jane Johnson for a change in pastoral relations due to retirement effective December 31, 2022.
- Approved the relicensing of Mr. Layton Peck as a Licensed Lay Worship Leader effective June 14, 2022.
- Approved the change from an appointment to a call for Rev. Stephen Brown to the Petitcodiac Salisbury Pastoral Charge effective July 1, 2022.
- Approved the Community of Faith Profile of the Nashwaaksis Pastoral Charge.
- Approved an amendment to the appointment of Rev. Joy Noble to the Georgetown Pastoral Charge to reflect the accurate effective dates from July 1, 2021, until June 30, 2023.
- Supported the pilot project proposal for cooperative ministry between Forest Hill United Church and Gibson Memorial United Church, Fredericton, NB, dated June, 2022.
- Approved the extension of the appointment of Rev. Ian Manson, short-term supply, to the Hampton Pastoral Charge from June 1, 2022, to July 31, 2022.
- Approved the extension of the appointment of Rev. Stephen Brown, short term supply, to the Hampton Pastoral Charge from July 1, 2022, to July 31, 2022.
- Approved the licensing of Mary Grant as a Licensed Lay Worship Leader for a two-year period effective on the date of confirmation of successful completion of the last module of her training.
- Approved the reappointment of Rev. Debbie Aitken to the Memorial Pastoral Charge effective September 1, 2022, until June 30, 2023, with the provision that thirty days’ notice to end the appointment is agreeable.
Faith Formation and Education Event Funding
The Faith Formation and Education Committee of the Fundy St. Lawrence Dawning Waters Regional Council has oversight of faith formation and education events and programs in the region. There are limited funds available to support these efforts . A form has been placed on the Regional Council website to allow for application for funding. Not all applications will receive funding as the mandate is to support the region as a whole. Funding requests must be submitted in advance of the event, preferably at least 3 months prior.
