Justice, Mission and Outreach Minister

I am pleased to announce that The Rev. Dr. Sherpherd Munikwa has accepted the position as the new Justice, Mission and Outreach Minister for the Regions East.

Sherpherd has been in ministry for seventeen years, ten of which were in Zimbabwe and most recently, he served in pastoral ministry in Carmanville, Newfoundland and Labrador and currently in Dundas Street United Church, Woodstock, Ontario. Sherpherd has completed his Doctorate of Ministry with a focus on intercultural communities. His passion is in levelling the ground for all cultures, genders and racialized groups. He believes strongly in conflict resolution, reconciliation and healing as a way forward to creating a beloved community. Sherpherd has a passion for working closely with communities of faith and networks within the Regions. Sherpherd “believes in empowering others to build a just, missional and outreach focused beloved community through peace building.” Sherpherd comes to us with a Diploma in Theology, Bachelor of Theology, Bachelor of Science in Counselling, Master of Arts in Theology and Religious Studies and a Doctorate of Ministry with a focus on Intercultural Communities. Sherpherd will begin his ministry with the Regions on March 1, 2022.
